Mission

Immuno Valley brings science into society. It strives to reinforce economic activity in the field of health and life sciences. For the period 2007-2010 the project will focus on establishing strong interaction within and between partners of the consortium. This will enable research and valorization against a background of synergy and innovation.

  • Immuno Valley builds a network of excellence in infectious disease detection and control.

  • Immuno Valley creates innovative scientific opportunities supporting the “One Health” approach, treating animal and human health as a single field of study.

  • Immuno Valley stimulates entrepreneurship by supporting IP consolidation and start-up initiatives.

Coherence
Essential for a multi-disciplinary consortium with top class scientists is the value of coherence. Definition of core competence and limitations is basic for an open communication and synergistic collaboration. Immuno Valley will stimulate coherence through focussed meetings for collaborative networks.

Innovative strength
Innovation is a resultant of conceptual thinking along new interfaces. Immuno Valley facilitates the collaboration in multi-disciplinary teams that cross-section human and animal health. Through workshops and conferences Immuno Valley will stimulate the discovery of new concepts and solutions enabling competitive advantage of their utilisation.

Valorization awareness
The best ideas are in people’s mind. Immuno Valley stimulates valorization awareness, whereby these ideas can become materialized. The value of intellectual property will be used by commercial partners, and its revenues will flow back into the science causing a catalytic effect on new inventions and creativity. Immuno Valley will organize dedicated workshops and meetings, to stimulate entrepreneurship in an academic setting.
